I've been developing Mani-mani B&C for almost one year along with my younger brother Kazunari. He's a talented professional designer and architect who perfectly captured my vision for Mani-mani. Our design aesthetic is clean, modern and uncluttered.

Mani-mani is inspired by the elegance of traditional Kyoto design, and is enhanced by interesting Japanese art works including calligraphy, traditional masks and ceramic art by friends who are all based in Kyoto: Toshiyuki Fujiwara, Toshiharu Yoshimura and Fuku Fukumoto. There's also a growing collection of handmade books from my father's traditional book-binding company "Matsuda Seihon".

Mani-mani is an ongoing project and we're continually developing our unique blend of comfort and design with Mani-mani as our canvas.

"  An unforgettable experience! Yoko made me feel so welcome to her lovely modern-style house. She communicated really well leading up to our stay and was there to greet me personally.

Yoko provided for me all of the basic necessities and so much more. She went above and beyond to help me secure reservations and helped me create the ideal itinerary for each day I was staying at her home...

I LOVED my stay at Yoko's house and would love to stay there again when I return one day. Would highly recommend to anyone Thank you Yoko for your warm and friendly welcome and for providing me with such a comfortable base in Kyoto. I loved it !  "       Lisa, Nov. 2015
